Gingerbread House Decorating Contest Planned At Hometown Holiday

LEMONT, IL — The first annual Gingerbread House Contest, sponsored by Team Elite of First Midwest Realty, will take place at the Hometown Holiday event in Lemont on Saturday.

You can register for the contest online. The contest is limited to the first 50 entries, according to the Village.

Participants can drop off their gingerbread houses at 207 Stephen St. from 2:30 to 3 p.m., and voting will open to the public from 3 to 4:30 p.m., with the winners announced at 4:45 p.m.

All the houses will be displayed in downtown Lemont from Dec. 4 to Dec. 7, the Village said. You can find the full contest rules online.
