Giving Tree Forest at Bethany Lutheran Church

Bethany Lutheran Church hosts “A Giving Tree Forest” in conjunction with Lemont’s Hometown Holidays event on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 3-7pm. Bethany Lutheran Church’s sanctuary (500 Lemont St) will be transformed into a beautiful forest of Christmas trees decorated for the holiday season with songs of the season to help put anyone in the Christmas spirit. Intended to inspire generosity, Bethany will be collecting donations for the Open Pantry and area senior citizens. Needed items include: non-perishable food, $5 gift cards, white crew socks for men and women, L-XL cardigan sweaters, manicure items (emery boards, nail polish, etc), and incontinence products.

Community organizations and businesses are invited to sponsor a tree for $40. Registration and guidelines for participating can be found on Bethany Lutheran Church’s website (bethanylemont.org). Registration and payment are due November 22, 2019. Sponsors may come and decorate their tree from 4-9pm on December 6 and collect their decorations at the end of the event on December 7. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Open Pantry.
