Grab a Bag and Treat or Treat for the Lemont Food Pantries!

Hope and Friendship Foundation is rallying donations of "Gold Items" for both of our Lemont Food Pantries housed in Bethany Lutheran Church and Lemont United Methodist Church.

The demands are the pantries have been steady and items that are meal makers, healthy options, and hearty fillers for kids and adults are very much needed.

Jewel in Lemont donated the paper bags to help rally in some of the items that will fill the shelves and assist more than 100 households on a monthly basis.

Suggested donations: canned & microwavable ready food; canned meat/fish (chicken, salmon, ham, tuna); all paper or cleaning products or personal care items; vegetable oil or spray oil; condiments/mayonnaise/salad dressings; rice/pasta/potatoes (microwavable or other).

Bags are located in the Hope and Friendship Foundation bins located at: Lemont Police Department lobby; Starbucks, Lemont; and Village of Lemont entry (416 Main St.).

Food donations can be left in those bins or dropped off to the pantry bin located in Jewel by the customer service counter.

Hope and Friendship Foundation's mission is to be a conduit of assistance from those who can help to those that need help here in our Lemont community.
