Haunted Canal Hayride event returns for 2nd year!!

School 113A Educational Foundation and Hope and Friendship Foundation invite you to join in the fun while needed funds are raised!

On Friday Oct 25 from 6-10pm and on Saturday Oct 26 from 5-10pm (5-6:30 "less scary" ride) the canal path beginning behind the Safety Village in Downtown Lemont will become a place of goosebumps and ghouls as volunteers from Hope and Friendship Foundation, School District 113a Educational Foundation, Nail Inn School of Cosmetology, and the Lemont Tractor Club join once again join efforts to bring the entertaining event along the I&M Canal path in downtown Lemont.

Joanne the card reader, concessions and a 50/50 Raffle will be a part of this year's event so bring a few extra dollars for your fortune, some snacks, hot chocolate, and chance to win 50% of the raffle!

"Spook ahead" passes will be available for purchase for $10 if you wish to float to the front of the line.

All funds raised will benefit both foundations as they continue their individual missions both focused on assisting youth in our community.

If this event sounds like something you would like to join in the fun and help make happen join us for the final volunteer/planning meeting on Tue Oct 22nd at 6pm in the rear room of Gelsosomo's Pizzeria. We are seeking help from actors/haunts, security, ticket sales, line control, volunteer assistance.

Volunteers (high school and older) will help us entertain the riders.
No costume or idea of what to wear? No worries our master haunt director Michele Birk will help you! Her students at The Nail Inn will apply amazing make up for you! And we will award the best
haunting group with the "Best Haunt Team" certificate! Gather your family, neighbors, team, youth group, co-workers! Gather anyone that will allow you to drag them to the event to join in the fun!!!

Volunteer Meeting (laying out the haunts through the path and setting all in place!) Tuesday October 22nd at 6pm at Gelsosomo's Pizzeria for all Haunted Canal Hayride volunteers. If you cannot make the meeting volunteers are to show up in costume at 5pm on Friday and 4pm on
Saturday and we'll put you in your spot to own and entertain from!!!
