Higher Grounds Coffee Company Opening In Lemont

Higher Grounds Coffee Company will hold its grand opening from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont's newest business will soon be open. Higher Grounds Coffee Company will hold its grand opening from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 223 Main St. That Saturday is also the Hometown Holiday in downtown Lemont, so guests will also be able to join the tree lighting and visit with Santa.

Higher Grounds Coffee Company will be serving up coffee and espresso drinks, as well as hot cider, cocoa and gourmet loose leaf tea.

Patch reported previously that the new location is 1,600 square feet and only two doors down from the Metra train station. The owner, Deanna Lileikis, told Patch the shop hopes to open at 5:30 a.m. so Metra commuters will have a place to stop and get their caffeine fix.

The shop will feature coffee, of course, as well as specialty drinks, and artisan baked goods. Lileikis is hoping to utilize local artisans to provide baked goods for the shop. The shop will have seating like couches and chairs, as well as books and games for guests to enjoy.
