The kids are preparing to help Lemont Food Pantries but need you
The Kid's Cook Off is Sunday January 26th youth from 5-18 years compete to show off their best cuisine. Tasters/Judges are needed.
Creative young minds and talents are planning their entries, shopping for supplies, fluffing up their chef hats and ironing their aprons readying for the 2019 Kid's Cook Off!
The competition will be steep and the tastings will be many when the doors open for those who will taste, rate, and rank the young talent.
Youth ages 5-18 have been invited to bring their best appetizer/salad, entree, or dessert to share. Tasters/Judges will move through the entries between 1:30-2:30pm on Sunday January 26th, sampling, talking with the chefs, and choosing winners in each age and entry competition area.

The chefs have registered and are readying....what is needed is you!
This competition is a fundraiser the benefits our Lemont Food Pantries. Taster/Judges are needed to make this fundraiser complete. The youth provide the food we need you to come out and donate to the food pantries to sample all of it!! Pass on the Costco samples this Sunday and come out to Gelsosomo's Pizzeria to support our young people who are offering their time, talent and passion to help the more than 100 households that depend on our two Lemont Food Pantries.

A $5 donation will be requested from all taster/judges. All donations will be divided between the two Lemont Food Pantries (Bethany Pantry, Lemont United Methodist Pantry) to assist with fresh food vouchers and filling the pantry shelves.
How you can help:
Come by Gelsosomo's Pizzeria 206 Main St, Lemont, Il on Sunday January 26th. Tasting/Judging time 1:30-2:30pm. A donation of $5 to the Lemont Food Pantries is requested to sample the young sous chefs cuisine. Judging ends promptly at 2:30, winners announced at 2:50pm. Encourage our young people and support the work of our local food pantries who are supporting our struggling households here within our arm's reach.
Thank you to Gelsosomo's Pizzeria family for opening their doors to this family friendly competition that will make a difference in so many homes, those of the youth you get to share their passion and talents and in the homes that benefit from the donations of those who visit this year's Kid's Cook Off.
