Kops N Kidz Night Planned In August

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Police Department will host its annual Kops N Kidz Night on Aug. 2 in downtown Lemont.

The event is held in combination with the law enforcement/emergency vehicle cruise night. Kops N Kidz Night will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the car show will be held from 6 to 9 p.m.

"The evening is designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, as well as heighten crime and drug prevention awareness," according to the Village.

The event also features giveaways and complimentary popsicles. Law enforcement/emergency vehicles will also finish the event with a parade of lights and sirens.
