The most pressing issues facing our (board, district, etc.) are _______, and this is what I intend to do about them.

I'm running for the library board because I think we have a wonderful library. In the 9 years we've lived in Lemont, my family and I have become power users-- we attend programs there, participate in the summer reading program, and check out materials regularly. In that time, I've found the librarians who work there to be helpful, professional, and welcoming. It's my hope that as a Board member, I can support the library as it continues to find new ways to serve the village.

I have worked in academic libraries for many years, always seeking new ways to support student information and community needs. I am excited to support our Lemont Public Library staff as they work to do the same for our community.
