Lemont Bicyclist Participates In Great Cycle Challenge USA

Bruno will ride 330 miles during September in support of the seventh annual Great Cycle Challenge USA.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont bicyclist Eileen Bruno will ride in her fifth Great Cycle Challenge USA, raising money and awareness for Children's Cancer Research Fund, according to a news release.

Bruno will ride 330 miles during September and raise $3,000 in support of the seventh annual Great Cycle Challenge USA.

The Great Cycle Challenge USA was founded in 2015, and over 350,000 riders from across the country have raised more than $39 million for research and the development of better treatments and cures for childhood cancer, according to a release.

“This is the fifth time I have participated in Great Cycle Challenge,” Bruno said in a release “During those years, I rode 1,450 miles and raised $10,608.07. This year, I am aiming to raise $3,000 and ride 330 miles.”

With 10 days left in the challenge, Bruno has already ridden 289.5 miles.
