Lemont Board Approves New Public Works Storage Barn
The Village approved the barn contract for $2,480,655.
LEMONT, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Lemont Village Board approved a contract for a new storage barn for the Public Works Department.
"Five years ago, this Board identified the need for property for a new water tower, new storage barn, public works facility/salt barn," Public Works Director Ralph Pukula said.
The Village is now in "phase 3" of the project, Pukula said. The water tower has been built and is operating, the salt barn is full and now the storage barn is the next, he said.

"Our public works department [building] was built 20 years ago," Pukula said. "And with that, we've grown. The town's gotten bigger."
He cited the need for storage for new equipment and for holiday decorations.

The Village received five bids on the project, and the bid was from EP Doyle and Son for $2,480,655.
Pukula said this is the same company that built the new salt barn.
