The Bielski family of Lemont is searching for their beloved lost cat, Dewey.
Dewey is a 13-year-old neutered male who is not declawed, has gray fur, green eyes, and his most distinguishing features are his torn up and jagged left and right ears. He was last seen August 7 on the 700 block of Singer Avenue.
“Don’t let his ’scrappy’ appearance fool you,” wrote his owner Leah, to Patch. ”He is VERY loving and intelligent. He loves to hunt mice so check your shed and garages.”

Dewey was wearing a breakaway collar and it did just that—broke away.
“Every day that passes without him, the lump in our throats gets larger and we fear we will never see him again,” she said. “I have to try everything to try to find him, he is family.”
