Lemont Fire District Holds Open House Saturday

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Fire Protection District will host an open house on Saturday, featuring demonstrations and a K-9 comfort dog.

The open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 1, at Fire Station No. 1, 15900 New Ave.

The open house will feature fire trucks, engines and ambulances; firefighter paramedic demonstrations and displays from arson investigation, hazardous materials team, technical rescue team, rescue task force, water rescue team; a K-9 comfort dog, pumpkin decorating, face painting, Mucha Salsa food truck, kids firefighter dress up, kids mini combat challenge, Sparky the fire dog and more.
