Lemont Fire District Plans Drive-Thru Open House

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Fire Protection District will host a drive-thru open house for families or anyone interested in learning more about the district. The district usually holds an open house every year, and this year, the event will be a drive-thru event.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 17 at Fire Station #1, 15900 New Ave. According to the Facebook event page, chiefs, firefighter paramedics, fire prevention staff and Sparky will welcome you to the open house.

There will be free fire safety materials as well as giveaways. Residents should remain in their cars, and can drive by to see the fire station and apparatus on display. You will enter the firehouse drive from Lockport/Main streets and exit onto New Avenue.
