Lemont Holds 150th Anniversary Commemoration On June 9

LEMONT, IL — To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of the Village of Lemont, the Village will hold a commemoration event on June 9.

Mayor John Egofske will proclaim the anniversary date, and other special speakers will recognize the Village's milestone. There will also be a dedication for the future Village Green park, as well as treats and giveaways, according to the Village Facebook.

The event will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Village Green, 322 Main St., in downtown Lemont. If it rains, the event will move to the Village Hall board room, 418 Main St.

An anniversary festival is also planned for the next day, June 10, in downtown Lemont.
