Lemont Hometown Holiday: Ferris Wheel, Tractor Rides, Santa Visits

LEMONT, IL — Lemont's Hometown Holiday will kick off the holiday season on Dec. 3. The annual event is offering even more this year, with a Ferris wheel and a Kris Kringle market.

The event, held in downtown Lemont, will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 3. The tree will be lit at 5 p.m.

Road closures for the event include: Stephen Street from the railroad tracks north to Front Street; Canal Street from Stephen to Lemont Street; Front Street; Talcott at Stephen; and the Corner Stone parking lot at Stephen Street.

There will be food trucks on Lemont and Canal streets, and a Kris Kringle Market on Stephen Street from 3 to 7:30 p.m., according to the Village website.

Children's activities include: a Ferris wheel, carousel rides, Letters to Santa, face painting, cookie decorating, and visits with Santa. There will also be tractor rides from 5 to 7:30 p.m., starting at the corner of Canal and Lemont streets. Check the Village website for times and locations of the activities.

The Tractors for Toys will also be accepting toy donations on Front Street from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
