Lemont Junior Woman’s Club Offers

$3,000 in Scholarships to Community Volunteers

Lemont, Ill. – February 15th, 2017 – Lemont residents who demonstrate a dedication to community service could earn $1,000 in scholarship funds from the Lemont Junior Woman’s Club. The organization will award three scholarships in May to applicants who have made outstanding contributions to the community through volunteerism.

Qualified applicants include residents of Lemont who are either high school seniors or adult women returning to school. The review committee will be looking for applicants with a history of community service, a demonstrated commitment to volunteerism and strong academic performance. Those who wish to apply can find an application form and instructions at area high school guidance offices, Lemont Library, Lemont Township, or by visiting the club’s website at www.lemontjuniorwomansclub.org. Applicants must submit the application, along with two references and a 500-word essay, postmarked by April 28th, 2017.
