Lemont Keepataw Day Parade And Fun Fest Set For Sunday
The 71st Annual Lemont Keepataw Day Parade and Second Annual Fun Fest is scheduled for this Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Downtown Lemont

For those staying in town Labor Day weekend, the 71st Annual Lemont Keepataw Day Parade and 2nd Annual Fun Fest are scheduled for this Sunday, September 3, 2023, in downtown Lemont.
Festivities will kick off at 1 p.m. with the parade, which will begin at Stephen and Main Streets, proceed down Main Street, and make a right at Turnabout up to Illinois Street. The parade will continue down Illinois Street and finish at the corner of Illinois Street and Lemont Street.
The announcer and judges station will be on Illinois Street at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, just east of Stephen Street. As a safety precaution, Illinois Street will be cleared of all parked cars between Julia and Lemont Streets for the afternoon of the parade, with advance notice going out to residents of the area before the event. Road closures will begin at 12 p.m., so save your spot early to watch the parade.

The Keepataw Fun Fest will follow directly after the parade. The fun fest will feature a lineup of bands, including The Dancing Noodles from 1:45 to 4:30 p.m., Grungeworthy from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and Buckle Band from 8 to 11 p.m. There will also be food and beverage vendors, a beer tent, a craft market, and a full schedule of kids' activities, including Irish Dancers, inflatables, face painting, a magician, a dance party, a hula hoop content, games, and more!
Additionally, 95.9 The River Radio Station will broadcast live from the Keepataw Fun Fest from 4-6 p.m. and will offer chances to win tickets to an upcoming Queen with Adam Lambert concert.

- Pets are welcome on leashes to watch the parade with their owners, but please keep them home for the fun fest.
- Bring your own chairs to watch the bands. Games and inflatables will run from 1:30-7 p.m.
- Wristbands for the Beer Tent are $5, and the ticket price includes a souvenir mug! No outside alcohol is allowed.
- There will be 2 ticket tents, one for cash-only and one for cash/credit/debit.
