Lemont Library Plans Reopening To The Public

The library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Public Library has announced it will reopen to the public on June 15. The library has created its own reopening plan, and is now moving into phase 3 of the plan, Heather Shlah, Interim Director, said.

Curbside pick-up service will also continue until further notice. The library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Occupancy will be limited and there will be strict social distancing protocols in place.

The library computers will also be available for use with a 30-minute time limit, as well as the study rooms for a 2-hour time limit, with an occupancy maximum of two.

Patrons are encouraged to use the library's outdoors spaces, and all materials should be returned to the book drop outside, the library said.
