Lemont Library Plans Trivia, Taco Night Fundraiser In May

Proceeds from the event will go toward improving the library's outdoor activity space.

LEMONT, IL — Join the Lemont Public Library for a trivia and taco night fundraiser to support improvements to the Library's outdoor activity space.

The trivia and taco night will be held at 6:30 p.m. on May 5 at the Lemont Township Community Center, 16300 Alba St.

Proceeds raised will go toward renovating the library's outdoor activity space to be larger and more inclusive for people of all abilities, according to the library newsletter.

Library Director Heather Shlah told Patch the library is planning an enclosed patio that would have access improvements from the parking lot, and outdoor education and programming space.

She added that the library is in the early concept stage for the space.

Tickets for the event are $30 each, or a table of 8 for $240. The ticket will include raffles, tacos courtesy of Big Ed's Shed, two drink tickets and trivia. There will also be a round of trivia dedicated to Lemont history in honor of the Village's 150th anniversary.
