Lemont Library Resumes Regular Hours

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Public Library first reopened to the public on June 15, but with slightly limited hours. Now, almost a month after reopening, the library will resume its regular operating hours on July 13.

According to the library Facebook page, the library will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Masks are still required at the library, and social distancing measures remain in place. Computers are available, but use is limited to one hour. The study rooms are also open, but capacity is limited to two people at a time.

The library also continues to quarantine returned items. Once a patron returns an item, it goes into quarantine for three days and is then checked in. No fines accrue during this time.
