Lemont Police Conducting Training Exercises at D113A Schools Friday

Police presence at District 113A schools Friday is only a drill, police said in an alert issued Thursday.

Members of the Lemont Police Department Sept. 26 will be conducting their annual intruder alert drills at the schools. Residents should not be alarmed if they hear emergency sirens or blanks fired only for training purposes.

Training will take place at the schools: 

• Oakwood, 8  to 10 a.m. 
• River Valley, 8 to 10 a.m. 
• Old Quarry, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
