Lemont Residents Part Of Crew For Theatre Of Western Springs Production

"A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," is the second Mainstage production of TWS' 95th season.

LEMONT, IL — Two Lemont residents, Stephanie Bullwinkel and John Mueller, are part of the crew working to put on the next production at the Theatre of Western Springs, starting Oct. 19, according to a release from the theatre.

"A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," is the second Mainstage production of TWS' 95th season. The production is a musical, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart.

The show opens on Oct. 19, and runs through Oct. 29 at the theatre, 4384 Hampton Ave. It is directed by executive artistic director of TWS, Eddie Sugarman.

“This is a non-stop musical farce. Please come ready to enjoy and laugh!” Sugarman said in a release. "It’s really all there in the lyrics of the opening [and closing song]. 'Something for everyone, a comedy tonight!'"

Tickets are $30 for all performances; $17 for students aged 18 and under.

Cast and crew include residents from all over the Chicago area, including two Lemont residents in the crew. Bullwinkel is a set designer for the show, and Mueller is doing sound design, according to a release.
