Lemont Selects Queen Of St. Patrick's Day Parade

Lemont High School senior Charlotte Albrecht has been chosen as Queen of the 2020 St. Patrick's Day parade, which will be held Saturday.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School senior Charlotte Albrecht has been chosen as Queen of the 2020 St. Patrick's Day parade. The parade will kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday in downtown Lemont, and you will be able to spot Albrecht in the procession.

Albrecht, 18, will become a fourth generation graduate of Lemont High School in May. Albrecht is very involved at LHS and participates in several clubs and organizations. She is currently the president of the Lemont High School Leo Club, the youth organization of Lions Club International. Albrecht is also part of the National Honor Society, the Rho Kappa History Society and the Tri M Music society.

Albrecht has also played clarinet for 4 years as a member of the marching band and symphonic band, and is also part of the Scholastic Bowl team, Athletic council. Albrecht was also captain of the varsity dance team this season, when the team advanced to compete at the IHSA state finals.

Line-up for the parade begins at 12:30 p.m. at Stephen Street and Front Street in downtown Lemont. After the parade, there will be entertainment, food and family fun at the Lemont VFW Hall, 15780 New Ave., Lemont.
