Lemont Team Wins Baseball Championship

On October 21st, a team of 8 and 9 year-olds from Lemont beat teams from Steger and Alsip to claim the fall baseball championship for the Chicagoland Sunday League. Representing the Lemont Baseball & Softball Club and the Lemont Lightning, the team team had to win four games in the playoffs to claim the Mustang American League title. The Chicagoland Sunday League is comprised of teams from more than 100 towns and the only qualification to enter the league is that players only participate in their local in-house baseball league.
