Lemont Township Annual Flu Shot Clinic

The annual Flu shot clinic will take place on Monday, October 6th, from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Community Center.

Respiratory Health Association nurses will be on site at the Lemont Township Community Center, 16300 Alba (near I-355 & Timberline Drive) on October 6th.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and leading health experts recommend that everyone 6 months of age and older, with rare exception, get an annual immunization as the best way to help protect themselves from the flu.

Vaccination early in the flu season is especially important for adults 65 and older.  It is estimated that during the 2012-2013 flu season, nearly 44,500 hospitalizations were averted due to vaccination in those 65 years of age and older.

An annual flu shot is a Medicare Part B benefit - this means the vaccine is covered with no co-pay for Medicare beneficiaries 65 years of age or older.  The cost is $20.00 for those who self pay.  Please bring your Medicare card with you to receive the shot.
