Lemont Township would like to thank the Lemont Junior Woman's Club for their continued support of the Heritage Woodland Sanctuary & our Community Center area! Saturday's Earth Day celebration was a special day as we dedicated the Native Garden Education Path by placing native plant markers along the path. The work and volunteer effort by the woman's club to date has helped with an outdoor classroom fireplace area, trail signage and now the education path! We are currently partnering on ideas for lobby displays to create more of an interpretation center for the sanctuary.
Also, a big thank you to our Boy Scout volunteers and all the residents who helped with our first monthly spring clean up. Other activities included an Easter egg hunt and a repurpose sale!
