Lemont's Scott Darling Signs 2-Year Blackhawks Contract Extension

Darling was called up Sunday night from the Rockford Ice Hogs. He made his NHL debut in October.

The Chicago Blackhawks recalled Lemont native Scott Darling on Sunday night, and signed him to a two-year contract extension.

Darling, 26, has appeared in seven games with Chicago, posting a 5-2-0 record, .937 save percentage and 1.97 goals-against average, the team announced. He made his National Hockey League debut with the Blackhawks on Oct. 26 vs. Ottawa, turning aside 31 of 32 shots on goal for his first career win. He has a 14-8-2 record, including two shutouts, a .927 save percentage and 2.20 GAA in 26 games with the Rockford IceHogs this season.

He replaces Antti Raanta, who was sent down to the AHL.
