LEMONT, IL — Once again, Lemont High School's Blue & Gold Backers' pork chop sandwich has advanced to the "Savory 16," the school said on its Facebook page.
The contest seeks out the best pork chop sandwich in the state, and Lemont made it to the final four in last year's competition.
The school said that Lemont's sandwich is one of four advancing from its region.

A panel of judges from IHSA will conduct in-person judging from Sept. 16 to Oct. 21 and the state champion will be announced on Oct. 22.
