LHS Figure Skater Participates In International Competition

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School freshman Nicole Metzler recently participated in the international Nations' Cup Ballet on Ice with Creative Ice Theatre in Ann Arbor, Michigan. According to a release, this event is part of the U.S. Figure Skating's "Theatre on Ice" program.

LHS said Metzler teamed with figure skaters from around Chicagoland to finish fifth in the international competition, despite the fact that the team had no Nations' Cup experience prior to this event.

Metzler was also busy during the school year at LHS. She, along with two other freshmen, Emilija Vaciulis and Lucia Jaquez, formed the Lemont High School Figure Skating Club, LHS said.
