Little Mountain Community Theatre Postpones 2020 Season

The community theatre in Lemont has postponed its 2020 season to summer 2021 due to the coronavirus.

LEMONT, IL — The Little Mountain Community Theatre in Lemont has announced it is postponing its planned 2020 season to summer 2021 due to the coronavirus. The theatre was planning on holding a children's acting workshop with a production of "Wizard of Oz Jr." and a main stage production of "Children of Eden."

The acting workshop was planned for June, and the main stage production was planned for July. The planned productions will now be held in summer 2021, the theatre said.

Although its season has been postponed, the theatre will produce a Pops concert at The Forge: Lemont Quarries in August. The Forge: Lemont Quarries is set to open Memorial Day weekend, and the new recreation park has an outdoor concert venue with seating for 1,000 people.

The planned concert with the theatre will be held Aug. 29 and feature music from the movies.
