I-355 Bridge Jumper Dies In Lemont: Police

LEMONT, IL — A man jumped from the I-355 bridge in Lemont at 8:23 a.m. Thursday, according to Illinois State Police. Police said preliminary investigation has indicated that a male jumped from the bridge near mile marker 10.0 and landed on the pavement below. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The man was identified as 33-year-old Daniel Shaffer of Warrenville, who was witnessed jumping off of the bridge, according to the Will County coroner.
