'No Issues' Overnight In Lemont, Curfew In Effect Tuesday Night

The village said there continues to be no direct threats to the community.

LEMONT, IL — There were "no issues" overnight in Lemont, the village said in a message to residents Tuesday. A local curfew will once again go into effect Tuesday night, starting at 9 p.m., and ending at 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The village said there continues to be no direct threats to the community.

"We advise staying off the roadway so public safety officials can respond efficiently to incidents as they may arise," the village said, also advising that businesses closed by 9 p.m. and remain closed until 6 a.m.

The village said residents may notice increased police presence and areas of town blocked off with police and other cars around storefronts and plazas.

"These are precautionary measures being put in place due to unrest we are seeing in the region," the village said. "The village continues to take these and other precautions to ensure the safety of Lemont residents and businesses."
