Southbound I-55 Closed Due to Garbage Truck Crash
Traffic is being rerouted off the interstate at Route 126, Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Martez Malone said.
Southbound Interstate 55 is closed due to the overturning of a garbage truck at U.S. 30 in Joliet, Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Martez Malone said.
It's expected one lane will reopen shortly but currently all traffic is being routed off at Route 126 in Plainfield, Malone said.
No details are available on the accident, which involved only the truck, he said.
