Oakwood Teacher Named Best Of Lemont's D113A Teacher Of The Year
Adrienne Landgrave was honored as District 113A educator of the year at the Best of Lemont awards.
LEMONT, IL — District 113A second grade teacher Adrienne Landgrave was named one of the Best of Lemont honorees at an awards ceremony held by the Heritage Corridor Business Alliance Nov. 20. Landgrave was honored as District 113A educator of the year.
The district said Landgrave has been a teacher in the district for 18 years. She currently teaches second grade at Oakwood School.
"Over the course of 18 years, Landgrave has touched the lives of thousands of children and their families as a kindergarten teacher and second grade teacher," the district said.

According to the district, Landgrave has been instrumental in leading the Say Hello initiative through the Sandy Hook Promise as well as organizing and leading the work with obtaining two comfort dogs for students to interact with at Oakwood. She also currently serves on the district leadership team.
"It has been my pleasure to work alongside Mrs. Landgrave for the past three years. She brings a sense of optimism to our Oakwood School family. She is the first to step up to help support our children, staff, and school," Oakwood Principal Kelly Zimmerman said. "Mrs. Landgrave works diligently to develop a close bond with her students, which allows her to understand and know them as learners. She utilizes her knowledge of her students to connect them to their own learning. She gives selflessly, and it is with honor and pride that I call her an Oakwood Bear."
