Old Quarry Eighth Grade Boys Basketball Takes Third At State

LEMONT, IL — Old Quarry Middle School's eighth grade boys basketball team took third place at the IESA Class 4A state tournament.
The team from Lemont finished with a record of 25-1. Lemont faced East Peoria's Central in the third-place game, and won 51-42, according to the IESA website.
Earlier in the tournament, Lemont defeated Springfield's Grant in the first round, and lost to Phoenix's Coolidge in the semifinals. Phoenix went on to win the tournament, according to IESA.

The team traveled to Taylorville High School to play in the state tournament.
