Online Open House Planned For Waterfall Glen Plans

LEMONT, IL — The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County invites citizens to provide feedback on proposed plans for Waterfall Glen forest preserves at an online open house on Oct. 13 or via an online comment form.

The online open house will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 13. You can register online for the open house.

Following this final feedback period, the plans will be revised and put before the Forest Preserve District’s Board of Commissioners for a vote, according to the preserve.

Some goals for Waterfall Glen include improving vehicular access, circulation and parking; reducing impacts and disturbance to natural resources; improving functionality and connectivity of trails; and improving the user experience at existing recreational areas.

Once approved, the master plans will guide the preserve’s development and serve as templates for future master planning efforts at other DuPage forest preserves, the district said in a release.
