Over 300 Without Power In Lemont

LEMONT, IL — Over 300 residents were still without power in Lemont Wednesday, after a Bud Light truck crashed into a pole near State and Keepataw. Over 800 residents were without power at the start of the outage, with power restored to some residents by Wednesday afternoon.

Lemont Public Library announced it was closed Wednesday due to the outage.

According to ComEd, additional crews are required for the outage, and the company gave an estimated restoration time of 6:30 p.m.

Lemont Police were also at the scene rerouting traffic in the area. The Village of Lemont said there are warming centers available during regular business hours at Lemont Park District, 16028 127th St., and Lemont Township, 1114 Warner Ave. Lemont Police Department, 14600 127th St., is available after hours as a warming center.
