LEMONT, IL — The Party of Lemont ticket, which includes current Mayor John Egofske, current Village Trustees Dave Maher and Ken McClafferty, current Village Clerk Charlene Smollen, and former Lemont Police Chief Kevin Shaughnessy, have all filed for their candidacy in the upcoming local election on April 6.

Egofske will be seeking a second term as Mayor of Lemont; he was first elected in 2017. Maher and McClafferty were also first elected in 2017, and Smollen has served as Village Clerk since 1985.

“Over the past four years, we have been honored and privileged to serve our community,” Egofske said in a release. “Together we have worked hard and made great strides in creating an economic environment which includes high-quality housing and new businesses. These accomplishments could not have been possible without the great support of our strong, tight-knit community."
