Passport Services Paused At Lemont Library
Normally, you could apply for a passport at the library, but those services have been temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus.
LEMONT, IL — Normally, when you want to travel internationally and need passport services, you can visit a variety of facilities to apply for a passport, including the Lemont Public Library. However, passport services at the library have been temporarily paused due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the United States Department of State website, the Chicago Passport Agency opened on June 11 with limited staffing.
Right now, you can apply for a passport at a facility or renew by mail, but unless there is a life-or-death emergency, you will experience delays before getting your passport.
