• Lemont Athletic Hall Of Fame Set To Induct Four On Sept. 13 (patch.com) — Lemont High School will honor four standout contributors at its Athletic Hall of Fame induction on Sept. 13 at Cog Hill Golf Club in Lemont. Residents can buy tickets online through Sept. 7 to celebrate longtime athletic director John Young, legendary softball coach Chris Traina, multi-sport star Steve Bradford, and record-setting softball alum Rylie (Jay) VanAsdlen.
   

• Water Lantern Festival Returns To Lemont (patch.com) — Lemont residents can experience the Water Lantern Festival's Radiant Tour when it returns to The Forge: Lemont Quarries on Sept. 5. Guests will decorate lanterns with personal messages, enjoy live music, food vendors, games, and reflective storytelling spaces, with organizers emphasizing environmental cleanup after the event.
