Picture Perfect: Bird Watching In Lemont

Do you have any interesting photos to share with Patch readers?

LEMONT, IL — Lemont resident Tricia O'Neill shared some pictures she has been taking of the birds near her home for the past six months.

"I spotted an Oriole one day and decided to track him, or at least get a glimpse of where he resides," O'Neill told Patch. "That one day kicked off the past six months of photographing nature for me."

O'Neill has also snapped shots of various birds, including one with eight different kinds of birds feeding at the same time while the squirrels and chipmunks feed below. Other birds she's seen include: robins, hummingbirds, American Goldfinches, cardinals, blue jays, sparrows, woodpeckers and doves.
