Battery, Obstruction of a Peace Officer, Speeding

Angela M. Melillo, 34, of the 16400 block of New Ave., was arrested at 4:38 a.m. in the 800 block of Main Street. She was charged with battery, obstruction of a peace officer and speeding, and was issued a March 27 court date in Bridgeview.

Tuesday, Feb. 12

Suspended License, No Insurance

Edward T. Davis, 56, of the 300 block of Cameron Ave. in Lockport, was arrested at 4:05 a.m. at New Ave. and Lockport St. He was charged with driving while his license is suspended and no insurance, and was issued a March 27 court date in Bridgeview.

Thursday, Feb. 14

Suspended License, Following Too Close

Hilarion Nava Jr., 37, of the 1300 block of 48^th Court in Cicero, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. at State Street and Keepataw Drive. He was charged with driving while his license is suspended and following too close, and was issued a March 27 court date in Bridgeview.

Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of the defendant’s guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
