Pub Crawl Planned to Raise Funds for Keepataw Days Parade
'Project Lemont' wants to see Keepataw Days come back to Lemont. Will you help?

A 65-year Lemont tradition came to an end last August, as organizers stepped down from planning the Keepataw Days parade and festival. A drop in attendance and lack of funding meant the show just could no longer go on.
Now a group of residents—led by the Lemont Firemen Association—is rallying for the parade’s return, ready to raise the funds to restore the march of Lemont organizations and favorites.
“Project Lemont” will kick off the fundraising efforts with a bar crawl set for Friday, June 5 in downtown Lemont. The crawl will visit downtown establishments. A $25 donation will purchase a commemorative T-shirt, snacks, and a chance at door prizes. Each patron will receive a passport, where they can check in at each participating venue. Crawl begins at Gelsosomo’s, 206 Main St., at 6:30 p.m.
