Public Lands Day Planned In September At Sagawau Center
At Sagawau, volunteers can help remove litter and cut invasive brush.
LEMONT, IL — In celebration of Public Lands Day on Sept. 24, volunteers can help out at Sagawau Environmental Learning Center, 12545 W. 111th St., in Lemont.
Public Lands Day is a nation-wide volunteer day which encourages the use of open space.
At Sagawau, volunteers can help remove litter and cut invasive brush. Litter picking supplies and tools and safety gear will be available, according to the preserve website.
