Quarryman Challenge Canceled For 2020

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Park District has canceled the 2020 Quarryman Challenge 5K & 10-mile race, which had been scheduled for November.

The park district said all currently registered runners, volunteers and sponsors will be transferred to the 2021 Quarryman Challenge, which will be held on May 8, 2021.

The park district will host a virtual 5K series this fall, and one of the races may include the Quarryman Challenge 5K course.

"The camaraderie and the challenge of this unique event, a beloved local tradition, will surely be missed," the park district said. "But we look forward to seeing everyone next year!"
