Residents Misinformed about Asphalt Plant

I believe the residents of Emerald Ridge have been misled about the effects of an asphalt plant being proposed at Route 83 and Jeans Road in unincorporated Lemont. This plant is an allowed use according to the Zoning Ordinance and will bring jobs and needed tax revenue to DuPage County. The plant is much farther away from residents than those in Elmhurst and Naperville that have been there for years. I do not believe the objectors, who are opposing an approved use and a safe business, are on solid ground.
