Restoration Weekend Planned At Sagawau Learning Center

LEMONT, IL — Come clean up and help restore the land at Sagawau Environmental Learning Center's restoration stewardship weekend on June 24-25.

Volunteers can help restore the ecosystems of the land around the center, 12545 W. 111th St., from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on both days, according to the preserve.

Tools and safety gear are provided. The event is for those ages 10 and up.

The learning center hosts several exploration programs teaching about local fauna, birds and insects. A butterfly hike is also planned for 1 p.m. on July 6 at the center.
