Road Closures For Heritage Fest, Keepataw Parade

LEMONT, IL — Heritage Fest and the Keepataw Parade will both take place Saturday, Sept. 2. Both events require road closures in the downtown area.

The Heritage Fest related closures are:

• Parking lot behind the Stanton Building, 106 Stephen Street, will be closed all day Saturday, Sept. 2 for Heritage Fest. There will be no access throughout the day. Please be sure to remove all vehicles no later than 10 a.m. Saturday.
• Stephen Street will be closed from the tracks north to Front Street.
• Lemont Street will be closed from Canal Street north to the canal.
• Front Street will be closed from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• The village is recommending employees and residents use the parking garage.

The Keepataw Parade related closures are:

• 1:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Main Street from Illinois & Main to Lockport and Illinois Street from Main Street to State Street - all will be closed for the parade.
• Canal Street to Ed Bossert and Metra Lot will be closed for parade line-up from 12 to 3 p.m.

The Keepataw Parade and Heritage Fest areboth family-friendly events that celebrate the Lemont communityand have activities for all ages.
