Road Closures Planned for this Sunday's Keepataw Parade and Fun Fest
The Parade steps off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 3, 2023. A Fun Fest follows directly afterward in downtown Lemont.
The Lemont community is asked to be advised of this list of road closures for Sunday, September 3, 2023, in downtown Lemont for the Lemont Keepataw Day Parade and Fun Fest.
- Stephen Street will be closed from the tracks north to the end of Stephen Street by the railroad bridge starting at 9 a.m.
- Front Street will be closed from Stephen Street to River Road starting at 9 a.m.
- River Road will be one way west from Stephen Street to Front Street from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. River Road will be closed from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Canal Street will be no parking and will be closed from Stephen Street to the Metra Lot starting at 9 a.m.
- Talcott Street will be no parking and will be closed east from Stephen Street to Holmes Street starting at 9 a.m.
- There will be no parking on Main Street from Stephen Street to Turnabout Pizza starting at 9 a.m. Main Street will be closed from 12:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- There will be no parking on Illinois Street from Turnabout Pizza to Lemont Street starting at 9 a.m. Illinois Street will be closed from 12:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- There will no no parking in the parking lots at the Nail Inn and Safety Village from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The parade will kick off on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Stephen and Main Streets, proceed east down Main Street, and make a right at Turnabout up to Illinois Street. The parade will continue down Illinois Street and finish at the corner of Illinois Street and Lemont Street.
