Oppose residential re zoning on New Ave

My property is adjacent to J.p. Mcmahon's, and I do have concerns as well as the township and all the nearby residents. When I bought the property to raise my daughter in 2012. I had estimates on building a second story on my home to help in the aid of my aging mother. I thought it would make a good investment for retirement in my future, and my daughter would be grown by then. At that time there were no concern with the previous owner of the now Mcmahon property. I have since put off any future remodeling for fear of having no investment return with my property. The industry in the area is across new Ave and has been for over a century. Some of my concern is how can cook county allow this business to thrive when it is not zoned for this petroleum and chemical business, there are no containments or fencing around this property, they are power washing trucks on the property near the pond without containing contaminated water run off. This causes concern for polluting the natural waterway in this area and ultimately polluting the many private wells in the area. Not to mention I have seen them on top of tankers with the dome lids open. They work at night in the shop garage honking the highway air horns late at night, and use the bulldozer on the property late at night digging up and pushing dirt around this all creates a tremendous amount of noise and vibration in a residentially zoned area. They have covered a natural spring they will not admit to but many residents can point out where it once was. Also they put up lights that shine directly in my house and blind cars driving by on New Ave, and I never seen com ed there to oversee this. I have seen many near accidents with trucks pulling off and on to the property. Many residents have brought up with extra traffic in the area how it will negatively affect the road. With an already depleting road system and a state that is nearly broke who will maintain the road?Basically in short how is this allowed to happen on a residentially zoned property? Who is being paid off?
